Emirates has confirmed an additional day of flight cancellations since the regional flight cancellations caused by regional airspace disruptions have been affecting travel within the Middle East. The company has increased its suspension of flights to and out of the Dubai International Airport (DXB).
What is the new timeline?
While Emirates initially aimed for an earlier resumption, the airline confirmed on Monday that suspensions would remain in place until 3:00 PM (UAE time) today, Tuesday, March 3.
This is following the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) issuing a temporary partial airspace shutdown in the country to guarantee the safety of the passengers and the crews in the region in the light of the swiftly shifting events in the area.

The most important details to Emirates passengers
In case you are already a customer with Emirates, the following is the most up-to-date advice:
- Do Not Go to the Airport: Emirates has well-warned its clients against travelling to DXB unless they have been directly informed by the airline that their particular flight is active and confirmed.
- Rebooking Options: Customers with flights booked to fly on or before March 5, 2026, will be able to rebook their flights until March 20, 2026, at no change fee.
- Refunds: In case you do not want to travel anymore, you can have a complete refund through the Emirates website or through your travel agent.
Unlike Emirates, flydubai, the partner carrier of Emirates, has also ceased all its operations until 3.00 PM on Tuesday, March 3.
Limited Service Resumption
As the majority of flights are grounded, Emirates said that it could start with a very few limited flights late Monday evening to clear the backlog. Nevertheless, they are limited to passengers that have been rebooked and contacted by the airlines.
