From October 28th, Russian Airline Red Wings will be starting their service twice a week to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport in Sri Lanka. These flights will continue throughout the winter season. This information was announced by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Moscow.
From five different cities in Russia, tourists will be able to fly to Sri Lanka on Red Wings Airlines. This is means, more Russian tourists are like to visit Sri Lanka because of these new flights. And, Mattala Airport will become an important gateway for international travellers.
Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia, Mr. Udayanga Weeratunga, announced the airline’s plans in a Facebook post.
