Emirates Airlines says it has made a “significant recovery” on its international operations, with 96 percent of its global fleet restored. The airline is making steady progress in bridging the world with its primary hub in Dubai after a disruption earlier this year, it says.
The Emirates update posted on 4th May 2026 states Emirates now has over 1,300 weekly flights and is flying to 137 destinations in 72 countries. This is approximately 75% of its normal pre-disruption capacity.
The airline announced that it has been gradually restoring flights in the main geographical areas such as the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, West Asia, the GCC countries, the Far East, and Australasia. This recovery will continue to boost Dubai’s position as one of the world’s key international aviation hubs.

Emirates, however, reported excellent passenger demand, despite some operational difficulties. With the disruption period over, the airline was able to move a similar number of passengers (4.7m) successfully, indicating sustained confidence among global travellers, and demand for flights abroad.
In addition, Emirates emphasized its efforts to expand flight frequency, passenger capacity and travel choices, day by day, as its operations resume as usual. The staged recovery will help to enhance connectivity around the world and facilitate smoother international travel for all passengers, the airline states.

The airline stated that it is still committed to providing a seamless travel experience, and giving passengers better connectivity from Dubai – a major hub between eastern and western parts of the world.
The situation in the Emirates network is near to normal, and the company is determined to achieve full stabilisation of its global network and further improvement of its network services internationally in the next few weeks.
